Function and application

This LPG gas filter is mounted in the gas line between the LPG vaporizer and the gas injectors or injector rail. The filter has a crucial protective function: it retains dirt particles, oil particles and condensation water that could otherwise clog the fine openings of the LPG injectors. By using a dry gas filter, you prevent clogged injectors, irregular engine running, power loss and higher fuel consumption. The filter is homologated according to ECE regulation 67R01 for LPG and 110R for CNG, which means it meets European safety standards for use in vehicles.

Replacement interval

For optimal protection of your LPG system, the gas filter must be replaced regularly. The recommended replacement interval is at least every 20,000 kilometers, depending on your driving style and the quality of the gas used. With intensive use or when refueling with lower quality LPG, the filter may become clogged more quickly. Symptoms of a clogged filter are starting problems on gas, falling back to petrol, reduced performance and irregular engine running.

Installation

Mount the dry gas filter with the arrow direction in the gas flow direction, from the vaporizer to the injectors. Use appropriate hose clamps to firmly attach the filter to the gas hose. Check for gas leaks after installation.
