What is this ventilation kit?

This LPG vent kit is a crucial safety component for any vehicle with a refillable LPG system. The set is specifically designed for situations where the LPG filler hose must pass through a vehicle void, cavity, wall, or floor. This is common in campervan conversions, catering vehicles, or motorhomes where the external fill point is connected to an underslung gas tank or a gas bottle within the living area.

How does it work?

The kit provides safe venting of gas leaks. Should a leak occur at the filler hose fittings, this convoluted vent pipe captures the gas. The gas is then safely routed away from the sealed space (like the habitation area or a wall cavity) directly to the outside of the vehicle (the atmosphere). This prevents the build-up of an explosive gas mixture inside your vehicle and significantly increases gas safety.

Installation and Use

The installation is designed to connect to the existing LPG filler pod housing. The included end plates and gaskets ensure an airtight seal for the pass-through.

• Mount one end plate to the back of your external filling point.

• Route the flexible vent hose through the void to a safe exit point (e.g., the floor or a gas locker).

• Mount the second end plate at the exit point.

• Please note: Mounting screws or bolts are not included.
