Description
Safety device used to close the gas solenoid valves if the engine should accidentally stall.
Safety Relay for use in single-point induction systems where the change-over switch does not provide the safety function. It requires a pulsed signal to turn on the output voltage.

How does it work
There are 4 pins on the safety relay:
- Ignition coil
This gives a signal when the engine is running.
- Mass
This is the Min Pool.
- Incoming plus connection
You connect this to the coil of the evaporator and the gas valve.
- Outgoing plus connection
You connect this to the Petrol/Gas switch.
When you switch on the ignition, "PIN 3" gets a moment of power so that the gas valve opens and the evaporator supplies gas so you can start. You can set the duration of this moment in the middle (0-5 seconds). It will only receive this power if the Petrol/Gas switch is in the GAS position "PIN 4". If the switch is set to petrol, "PIN 3" will never receive power.
If the ignition coil gives a signal "PIN 1" (so as soon as the motor is running), "PIN 3" will receive permanent current, and the gas valve remains open.
IMPORTANT:
Obtain the pulse signal from the low voltage side of the coil (-1). This is the signal that comes from the contact points or the electronic control of the coil, also known as the primary coil control.
DO NOT use the high voltage cables (spark plug cables) as a pulse signal. This is sometimes done by wrapping a wire around it and connecting it to the relay. This can cause a lot of noise, interference, and voltage spikes, causing the relay to behave strangely and become defective earlier.
