Switch Manual
Starting
The engine always starts on gasoline. Depending on the engine temperature and after performing the system check, it will automatically switch to LPG/CNG.
Fuel Selection Switch
The fuel selection switch has 2 selection modes:
- Gasoline mode: Status LED is off (Prins logo)
- CNG mode: Status LED is on (Prins logo) The brightness of the LEDs depends on the ambient light!
Switching from gasoline to LPG/CNG and vice versa
You can switch between both fuels while driving by pressing the fuel selection switch. Once the switch is pressed, the switching procedure will begin. Gasoline >> LPG/CNG: The Status LED will blink. When the actual switch is made, the status LED will stay on continuously. LPG/CNG >> Gasoline: The status LED will turn off as soon as the switch to gasoline is made.
LPG-CNG Tank Level Indication
A tank level indication is displayed using five tank level indication LEDs. Depending on the type of tank sensor, the tank level indication is shown in 5 or 6 steps. When the red LED lights up, the last few liters of LPG (or kilograms of CNG) left to be used are reached. This does not mean that the tank is empty, but that there are still a few liters/kilograms of LPG/CNG remaining, depending on the size and shape of the LPG/CNG tank installed in your car. Due to the measurement principle of the system, which measures tank pressure (for CNG) or via a float in the LPG tank, this measurement cannot be more accurate and remains an indicative tank level measurement. Experience will show how long you can still drive when the red LED lights up.
Empty Tank Situation
In an empty tank situation, the VSI-2.0 system automatically switches back to gasoline mode, the status LED blinks, and the beeper beeps 3 times. Pressing the selection switch will switch back to gasoline mode, and the status LED will turn off, leaving the red tank level indication LED lit. Once the tank is refilled, you can switch back to LPG/CNG mode.
