The LPG-FIT Flare nut 1/2" UNF straight connector is a component used in combination with plastic LPG pipe LPG-XD-5 DN 8 (= Ø10mm copper) on an LPG tank (4-hole) with electric tank valve and/or on IMPCO parts with this type of connection. The connector is supplied with a union and an Oetiker clamp.

Applications:

• Connecting plastic LPG pipe to an electric tank valve 1/2 UNF (on a 4-hole tank)
• Connecting plastic LPG pipe to IMPCO connections on the inlet of evaporators and gas filters
• The XD-5 pipe is supplied as standard with some Prins Autogas kits (including for Dodge RAM TRX)

Advantages:

• The connector allows plastic LPG pipe to be connected to various LPG components
• The connector is made of steel and has a pressure class of 67R-01 Class 1 (max. 30 bar)
• The conical Flare connection ensures a good seal on the outlet of the electric tank valve (1/2" UNF)
• The connector comes with an Oetiker clamp, which provides a secure and reliable attachment of the plastic pipe

Note:

• Check the type of connection on the LPG components you want to connect the pipe to
• Use the correct connectors for your application in combination with the correct plastic pipe
• To clamp the plastic pipe onto the connector, an Oetiker clamp (deformable hose clamp) is used. This is included. Use an Oetiker pliers to properly clamp this clamp. See the images for illustration.

Tip: Apply a small amount of penetrating oil to the O-rings of the connector before inserting it into the plastic pipe. This makes the process easier.

Thread explanation:

• The thread of the connector is 5/16UNF, which corresponds to 1/2-20 SAE 45° Flare female (12.5mm).
